One of the biggest obstacles to ecological restoration is the availability of native, locally-adapted seeds and plants. This is especially true for the Palouse Prairie and other endangered ecosystems. With $58, we can strengthen our native greenhouse operations with another 100 deep seedling containers and trays. These special seedling containers (called "deepots") are necessary for growing healthy prairie seedlings because they are much deeper than normal seedling pots, allowing the native seedlings to develop healthy, deep root systems before we plant them in the ground. By "purchasing" this item, you're actually donating funds to help us purchase it ourselves.
